Helping people with more than food

4th March 2022

An increasing number of people are facing financial hardship and struggling with the rise in living costs. Some are faced with the decision whether to heat or eat. As well as providing food, toiletries, pet food, baby items and household cleaning products, we are also able to signpost people to relevant local organisations who can help with their specific crisis.

In addition to this, with funding from the Trussell Trust and ESF, we are able to train our volunteers to provide additional support to help local people in our community. The course will give our volunteers the knowledge and skills to help people use the Turn2Us benefit calculator to identify any unclaimed welfare benefits and maximise their income. This is an opportunity to make a real difference and will extend the service we are providing from our Foodbanks in Bodmin, Camelford and Wadebridge.
